Senz, why would there be artifacts and posterization if the videos were converted without custom compression
because compression can be done many different ways. For example if there's alot of motion you need to adjust the compression for it. If a darker scene appears then you need a different type of compression. More detail, increase bit-rate. This is how commercially produced DVD's are done. And it ain't done overnight! Sometimes they take months to do it properly. VCDs and SVCDs are even worse since you also have the problem of even smaller bandwidth and lack of space. Anyway, if people REALLY want a 4-disc SVCD of v2.0 let me know and I'll whip it together for you. Oddly enough, a 4 CD pack weighs more than a VHS tape. So, the shipping will likely increase. I'll find out what return shipping will be sometime next week. Send 4 CD-R's with standard size cases included. (I don't want to be messing with someones scratched discs and I'll need the protection for the cover art). Include a return envelope. The rest of the details are on this website: http://www.geocities.com/senz317/v2.html If more than 10 people want this, I'll even get covers printed (like I did for the VHS tape) instead of printing them with my ink-jet. Hey, it's a plan! Senz ______________________________________________________________________ Post your ad for free now! http://personals.yahoo.ca
