i'm listening to some of the new tracks to the first new album from mwh in over 10 years!! first one i've been around to witness since being a fan. So far, i've heard the song telepathy...and i don't like it too much. sounds cheesy. Now, I'm listening to "california" now and this song is more fun. has a folky feel and will grow on me. i'm liking the synth style of this song. final song is "roses." sounds like something that may have been found on the Ivan Spell album. Has that Ivan reverb feel to it. Fun song. Somewhat simple though. Though, I guess that's the point. I am happy but not extatic so far. Gotta give a B rating. But an A rating for just the fact they finished it and is available for listening. Collin

da moose is in da howse... };-) thought i'd look up the old gang after being away for a while. been busy - moved from london to l.a. with the america wifey (is it nearly 3 years already?) & now have 5 cats to chase after... never a dull moment! working on my new album (alaskahighway.com) & generally trying to survive free coke refills & servings in restaurants the size of nabraska!! sheesh... anyways, i see from the .com site that the boys have a new album out 'imminently' - any news on that one apart from whats on the web site? might make a good christmas pressie. just looked thru my mwh collection & see i have quite a few cds - bbc rock hour (including my 'moose's mac mix!! hehehe...) rhythm of youth '83 freeways live '85 rhythm of youth / folk of the 80s 2-fer-1 freeways (folk of the 80s / freeways / bonus tracks) roy demo tape / folkIII rehearsal tape collection (the oglio release) pop goes the world (polygram) ...in the 21st century (polygram) sideways (polygram) & ivan's 'the spell' of course... i also have 2 white label CDs, both live, with the first cd starting up like an orchestra tuning up followed by utter space & antartica. the other one starts with spacey noises then goes into freeways followed by antarctica. anyone have any info on these 2? so, have i missed anything? }:-) email : moose(a)pigpendigital.com music sites : http://www.pigpendigital.com http://www.alaskahighway.com http://www.mishikawa.com

MWH sighting

Greetings! Congrats, Laura! For obvious health reasons I assume baby will be wearing his/her hat, at least for a while :) On a completely unrelated note... just wanted to mention a MWH sighting: For the past month at least, Howard Stern (a morning "Shock Jock" DJ down here in the US) has been playing "The Sulu Dance" - a takeoff by "Kid Chris" (no idea who he is). New lyrics and sound bites from the actor, George Takei, are used to parody Lt. Sulu from Star Trek. Notwithstanding the subject matter, the vocals and music sound pretty good in comparison with the original, IMHO. - Jeff
