[math-fun] Re: east of the south pole
From: Dan Asimov <dasimov@earthlink.net> << IMAGING The Plato Observatory, on Dome Argus, 13,000 feet high and about 700 miles east of the South Pole.
Is this as nonsensical as I think, or is there a reasonable meaning to the phrase "east of the South Pole" ?
You have to stand on the South Pole in ruby slippers and spin really fast to get there. --Steve
Nah... East of the Sun & West of the Moon -- you have to believe in fairies to get there. At 09:33 PM 2/19/2008, Steve Witham wrote:
