[math-fun] Julian's tympanohedron--publication at last
Colm Mulcahy is planning to feature it in his Martin Gardner Centennial article in the October Scientific American. But when it rains, it pours. While NeilB and I were preparing materials for Colm, Gary Antonick added finding it (fat chance) as a "bonus puzzle" to this week's http://wordplay.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/06/30/wcup1/ To check out the pix, be sure to click on the little "32 [or whatever] Comments" and then the Enhancer button near the bottom of the main section. Now Wikipedia can no longer damn it as Original Research. --rwg
The Numberplay comments pane (which appears to load automatically on clicking Enhancer) lacks the feature where rightclicking View Image shows it unreduced.
