Reminiscent of the Foucault pendulum in the lobby of the London Science Museum in South Kensington, where I spent many hours as a child --- though I presume it's meant to represent the original / replica in Paris. Now if it was precessing correctly according (the latitude) where I live, that _would_ be impressive ... but I don't think I can be bothered to hang around long enough to find out.
