What struck me as interesting, is they claimed this galaxy is 30 billion light years distant, a bit strange since the universe is only 13.8 billion years old. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-24637890 They then said they knew that, and the reason is "we see the galaxy as it appeared 13.1 Gyr ago, but the universe has expanded since then, so now it is 30 Glyr away." I actually think, this is true. So the universe is "expanding faster than light speed" in a way that actually affects galaxies we can see. -- Warren D.
