[math-fun] Super/mirror palindromes ?
I was looking at an exit sign last night that was made of clear glass, so the words EXIT appeared on both sides, but unfortunately, the letters were backwards on the reverse. Are there any interesting "super/mirror" palindromes that read the same from both front & rear? They could only use the following letters A,H,I,M,O,T,U,V,W,X,Y. Is there a name for such palindromes?
T O M A T O Are you familiar with Scott Kim's _Inversions_? You're looking for one thing that falls into the general category of "ambigrams." --Michael Kleber On 10/25/05, Henry Baker <hbaker1@pipeline.com> wrote:

This reminds me of one of my old shirts from graduate school it said "BERKELEY MATH" vertically, and it was always fun to look at in the mirror. David Moulton On Tue, 25 Oct 2005, Michael Kleber wrote:

Actually, they could also use lower case, at least sans serif: b,d,i,l,o,p,q,t,v,w,x And the digits 1 and 8, as well as some punctuation:-.! And what about reading the same when turned upside down? --ms Henry Baker wrote:
