RE: [math-fun] Re: Bob Dylan
Not that I know of. However in an interview in 1965 or 1966 he said that he wrote "mathematical music" or words to that effect. (I would like to give an exact reference, but I can't lay my hands on that book right now.) He did mention math and geometry in "Tombstone Blues": "The geometry of innocent flesh on the bone Causes Galileo's math book to get thrown At Delilah who sits worthlessly alone But the tears on her cheeks are from laughter" I copied and pasted those lyrics from bobdylan.com, but I always heard the first line as: "The geometry of innocence; flesh on the bone" -----Original Message----- From: Fred Kochman <kochman@idaccr.org> Sent: Feb 25, 2005 9:57 AM To: 'math-fun' <math-fun@mailman.xmission.com> Subject: RE: [math-fun] Re: Bob Dylan
Are there any songs that mention mathematicians other than Dylan's "Tangled up in blue"?:
