I don't believe there is an ASCII digest option. It presumably would appear on this page: https://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/math-fun which doesn't mention ASCII. Even if you use a text mode mail program (I use pine, myself), it should be easy to configure your terminal program to render UTF-8, which I believe math-fun uses for all non-ascii messages. It really is a treat to read math content that contains actual pi and infinity characters rather than some spelled-out approximation. -- Tom Duff.
