From "What to Expect from the ISEE", pg 39: * * * 10. This problem tells us that P, Q, R, and S are towns on the map. The distances between the towns are drawn to scale, which means they are as accurately drawn as possible. The distance between Town R and Town S is 13. For the distance between Town Q and Town S to be 26, the line segment QS should be twice as long as the line segment RS. Line segment QS is less than twice as long as line segment RS, so the distance between Town Q and Town S is not correct. The correct answer is choice (D). * * * -- Thane Plambeck http://www.plambeck.org/ehome.htm
