Yeah, I guess I somewhat agree with Dan, I don't relish politics on math-fun, I don't quite "abhor" it either. I find myself drawn into these things now and then because opinions on these issues weigh heavy on my mind. Maybe if there was another mailing list where we could share our non-math non-fun topics... (sigh).
