[math-fun] Blancmange is a dessert
But APG was probably testing us. http://mathworld.wolfram.com/BlancmangeFunction.html
I notice images of this Blancmange function (or something similar) in several OEIS sequence graphs. One such sequence is A139250.

I prefer the less childish name Takagi curve (rather than Blancmange curve, which is harder to spell and reminds me of my mother's cooking) and, yes, it comes up in many OEIS sequences (sometimes tilted), especially those which are counting ON cells in cellular automata. See A160239 and arXiv:1503.01168. Best regards Neil Neil J. A. Sloane, President, OEIS Foundation. 11 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, NJ 08904, USA. Also Visiting Scientist, Math. Indeed catching APG himself, and in turn my unfortunate young student, unable to Google this revered mathematician's other accomplishments in comparison with Weierstrass. Now he hates Monty Python. --rwg
