[math-fun] Occurrences
If I'm not wrong, there are more occurrences of <occurence> than occurrences of <occurrence> in the OEIS. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/occurrence É. Catapulté de mon aPhone à+ É. Catapulté de mon aPhone
EA: "If I'm not wrong, there are more occurrences of <occurence> than occurrences of <occurrence> in the OEIS." You have to be careful here. Look at the actual hits (in bold) when you search for 'occurence'. I see 'occurs', 'occurring', 'occurred', 'occur', and 'occurring', in the first two pages of the results. I don't see any occurrence of 'occurence'.
Ok, yes, that's true, searching for a word gives more a cloud of words than a precise count, sorry, I didn't check that. But I have at least one occurrence (my search started with this nice seq -- as the same mistake is very common in French and Italian): http://oeis.org/A263443 Best, É. Catapulté de mon aPhone

In a month-old copy of the text of the OEIS, there are 3874 instances of [Oo]ccurrence... and 145 of [Oo]ccurence... I will do a global edit to correct the latter occurrance appears 4 times and occurance just once ocurrence and occurence are both missing Best regards Neil Neil J. A.
