[math-fun] Dragon and Twindragon animations
I created some dragon animations that might be of interest. The first is a twindragon animation that sweeps through the self-mapping angles, pausing briefly at points of interest (twindragon, tame twindragon, rectangle, reverse tame twindragon, reverse twindragon): https://www.karzes.com/anim_twindragon.gif The second is a Heighway dragon animation that also sweeps through the self-mapping angles (while retaining their difference), pausing briefly at points of interest (Heighway dragon, triangle, reverse Heighway dragon): https://www.karzes.com/anim_dragon.gif Tom
twindragon.gif runs as advertised; however dragon.gif remains obstinately static (Safari on iMac). WFL On 2/6/20, Tom Karzes <karzes@sonic.net> wrote:

It's probably due to the size. It does work with Safari on my iPhone, but I might have a faster internet connection. I suggest downloading the file, then viewing it locally. That will almost certainly work. Tom Fred Lunnon writes:

#2 loaded in a few seconds, but then just sat there. Trying again just now, #2 fails to load at all (blue query mark); #1 still works fine. WFL On 2/6/20, Tom Karzes <karzes@sonic.net> wrote:

Aha --- works fine under Chrome on Mac for me too; yet Safari loads 80% of file, shows a still, then grinds to a halt. I should'a thought o' trying that ... WFL On 2/6/20, Mike Stay <metaweta@gmail.com> wrote:

It can’t be just a Safari issue. Both animations work fine for me with Safari 10.1.2 on a MacBook Pro with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, 16 GB memory. — Mike
