My 6-year-old daughter and I have been really enjoying the Alcazar app, which I just learned about from an MAA publications (either Focus or Horizons). Have any of you played with it? Jim

Thanks for providing the link, Fred. Has anyone downloaded the full-featured app to their iPhone or iPad? I've got the trial version on my iPhone, but when I try to upgrade to the full version, nothing happens. (I've looked into all the obvious causes, like whether in-app purchases are enabled/disabled.) Please respond to me, not the list, if you have any relevant experiences or advice. Jim On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, Fred Lunnon <fred.lunnon@gmail.com> wrote:

Yes!! My method worked! My method was, If all else fails, send an email to lots of people, announcing your difficulties and soliciting their help. Then your difficulties will disappear, putting you in the position of having to apologize to people for wasting their time by asking for their help in the first place. So, apologies to all. I now have egg on my face, but at least I've managed to install the full version of Alcazar. This episode is part of a general strategy of treating Murphy's Law as part of the fundamental structure of the universe, and putting it to work by channeling it in particular directions. In this part of the world it is understood that, at the instant of arriving for some long-delayed appointment at a physician's surgery, one's symptoms will miraculously regress. [Temporarily, in all probability.] WFL On 5/18/15, James Propp <jamespropp@gmail.com> wrote:
