[math-fun] To Rich as math-fun moderator
Rich, As for the article from the NYTimes I just sent to math-fun that's "being held for moderator approval" (it"s 44kb, about 10% over the limit), I misspelled the word address in the first sentence, but worse I *forgot* to de-MIME it. Apologies -- there will be times when I forget. If you send it out could you please de-MIME it for me, or else let me know and I'll send it out that way, or else I could both de-MIME it and send it in two halves. --Dan

Does math-fun have a policy on sending out copyrighted materials (I assume without permission)? /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:bernie@fantasyfarm.com Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <--

The New York Times and many other online newspapers and magazines encourage and even facilitate emailing articles to others. You just click "email this article" and put in an email address. Nothing says that the email address cannot be a mailing list. The New York Times is apparently proud of the fact that their articles are forwarded. They even keep a list of the Top 25 Most Emailed Articles. "Universe as Doughnut: New Data, New Debate" is now 23 on this list. --Edwin Clark
