[math-fun] StackExchange-like website for Computer Algebra
Hey all. I posted this to sci.math.symbolic too, but I thought I might as well post here. I made a proposal for a StackExchange (like MathExchange, StackOverflow, MathOverflow) specifically geared at computer algebra and symbolic computation. If it gets enough followers, then it can become an actual Q&A site. http://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/30094/computer-algebra-symbolic-co... It will not be intended for software support. Rather, it's for the theory and practice of computer algebra and symbolic computation. Let me know what you guys think! -Robert
Hello all, Thanks to those who looked at or even committed to the computer algebra StackExchange. It looks like the moderators decided to close it, for whatever reason, despite my appeal written here: http://discuss.area51.stackexchange.com/questions/1141/difference-between-co... This is unfortunate, and I wrote to the site asking why here: http://discuss.area51.stackexchange.com/questions/1156/on-the-closing-of-com... We'll see if they say anything. Otherwise I'll hush about it. :) -Robert On Mon, Mar 7, 2011 at 2:50 PM, quad <quadricode@gmail.com> wrote:
