I looked at this briefly when it first surfaced on math-fun, and dismissed Wright's claim as being so obviously a clumsy fake that the fact wasn't worth pointing out; presumably quite a few people on the list had the same reaction. What still does bother me has been addressed very rarely in the discussion: what was the point of the forgery in the first place? Is the man simply a publicity- hungry clown?
