There's an equation editor in the more recent versions of Word (I haven't seen anything between 97 and 07, but I think even 97 had one that worked separately, and 07 has one nicely built in). Insert-->Equation (or possibly Insert--> Object--> Microsoft Equation, depending on the edition) gives some pretty nice typesetting options. --Emma James Propp wrote:
Here's a math non-fun question (but I'm not sure whom to ask, so I'm asking y'all):
Is there a way to do half-decent-looking integrals and summations in Word? I'd like to get things to look like
/ 1 \ f(x) dx / 0
and
-- 100 \ / n(n+1) -- n=1
as opposed to
/ 1 \ f(x) dx / 0
and
-- 100 \ / n(n+1) -- n=1
A quick Google search didn't turn up anything helpful.
Thanks,
Jim Propp
