"as life expectancies continue to rise, it's not uncommon for parents to outlive their children..." on the other hand, i've seen articles making the point recently that the rapid increase in childhood obesity in recent years in the usa and other "advanced" nations makes it more likely that the kids will die *before* their parents. anyway, what is the history of this statistic and the expected trend here? googling hasn't helped me much, but maybe i'm missing something. -- Thane Plambeck tplambeck@gmail.com http://counterwave.com/
