[math-fun] arithmetic progressions and functions of exp(1)

Continued fractions of functions of e often contain arithmetically increasing terms. Given a continued fraction with some finite number of interspersed arithmetically increasing sequences and some finite set of constant terms (like the 1,1 terms in the cf for e itself), is there an algorithm to determine what function of e it is? -- Mike Stay staym@datawest.net
