I think I would say "nth iterate" (with "iterate" given noun stress, to rhyme with "literate"). A Google search on "nth iterate" shows that this terminology goes back at least 80 years.
This sounds good to my ears, thanks! I'll also (have to) use it for the corresponding grid-filling curves, where it sounds fine as well. Additionally there is (for the curves) no conflict with the terminology(*) already used. (*) about every single author uses own terminology, it seems.
