The PDF image obtained can then be exported by drag'n drop to any application supporting it. You give it a line or more of latex like that in your example, and it produces a nicely-formatted version of the formula I use it all the time when I'm preparing a slide for a talk and I want to insert a formula - I use Latexit to produce a pdf image which can then be dragged into the slide On Tue, Jun 23, 2020 at 7:44 PM Mike Stay <metaweta@gmail.com> wrote:
Oh! Yeah, any page with $$math$$ in it probably already uses MathJax, so turning on scripts will let it run. Congrats!

There is this bookmarklet, but it relies on the website not setting a content security policy (so it won't work in gmail, for instance). https://checkmyworking.com/misc/mathjax-bookmarklet/
oh wow -- it worked!! I made a bookmark of the bookmarklet, and when I enabled scripts on the page[*] I was looking at i didn't have to do
anything with
the bookmarklet at all.. all the ugly stuff disappeared, replaced with pretty equations.
[*] my default is to block scripts everywhere and only enable them when I need them or on sites that I trust
