Does anyone know why the nice word "factoring" was recently (?) replaced in the U.S. by the ugly word "factorizing?" Continuing this trend, the word "factor" should also be replaced, perhaps by "factorizer" or "factolets" or "factoreenies." Or, combining "factor" and "atom," they could be called "fatoms." Steve Gray
