Not what you asked for, but interesting nonetheless: I just got back from the 2004 Bridges conference, where I saw a presentation by Rinus Roelofs. He has spiral dissections of a cube and a sphere into 2 equal pieces that were quite interesting. One thing I came across is http://www.maxton.com/max5.html -- which features elaborate dissections of a cube into interlocking pieces, and made with many different types of metal. Has anyone played with one of these?
