A friend told me that sometime in the recent past there were posts on this list having to do with the Rupert property of solids. [You will recall that in the 17th century Prince Rupert of the Rhine won a wager that a hole could be cut in a cube large enough that a second cube of the same size could pass completely through it.] Now that I am a list member, I suppose I could browse through the Archives month by month and eventually find what is there to be found. But I hope that some member with a long memory can tell me approximately when the Rupert property was discussed and give me a time-saving lead. I would be most grateful for any such assistance. As a new member, I'm not yet familiar with the practices and customs of posting to this list, so forgive me please if I inadvertently have trod on anyone's sensibilities. John Wetzel
