That's small potato(e)s, compared to Congress & state legislatures, who have the hubris to often tell the bailiff to "stop the clock" at 11:59p.m., so as to "meet" certain mandatory deadlines. An interesting scifi story (other than the one in the Old Testament of the Bible [Joshua 10:13]) would clarify exactly what would happen if such a body were to truly achieve their goal of stopping time.
