No con-rods, no valves, no silencer, ... On the other hand, you would have thought that a Wankel engine, with no crankshaft, would be even better for this sort of application, where they presumably don't worry too much about matters like fuel economy. $460 is not cheap for a model aero/auto engine, is it --- could not a reasonable (used) full-scale auto engine be acquired for that sort of money?
