="Keith F. Lynch" <kfl@KeithLynch.net> Am I correct that the most popular OEIS sequences in both senses of the word are the lowest-numbered ones?
I don't know whether the OEIS website keeps statistics on "popularity" in any sense (NJAS?) but there's a keyword:core marking on 173 sequences which might be a good starting kernel. http://oeis.org/search?q=keyword%3Acore The smallest core A-number is A000040, the penultimate one is A005588, with a single outlier, A211168, being the only one not in the original print EIS.
