Talking about hypervolume, a Google search for "cubic liters" had 656 hits. That's not so bad compared to 11.7M hits for "liters". But http://www.fnal.gov/pub/ferminews/ferminews03-11-01/p6.html from Fermilab? Their superconducting magnets are cooled with cubic liters of liquid helium.
