I went to see the movie "Proof" last night and enjoyed it quite a bit, even if it upholds the long-standing cinematic tradition of finding mathematicians interesting only if they are also insane, or about to be insane, or recovering from having been insane.
Hey, those of us who are nuts are in good company. I'm thinking of Cantor and Goedel, among others. But even if being nuts is necessary to be a genius, it's not sufficient. Damn. Steve Gray
