A slightly questionable program sez that if we replace all but two of the fourteen 2x4x1s with six 4x4x1s, the solution is *unique*. (Other pieces: three 3x1x1, one 2x2x1, no 2x2x2.) I think this is actually an easier puzzle, but would like to hear otherwise. --rwg PS, I like Klarner's distinction: perfect packing -> tiling. DISORIENTATING DISINTEGRATION
