<< The formula V(n) = (2/n) pi^(n/2) / Gamma(n/2)) for the volume of the unit n-ball . . . . . . makes V(0) blow up
Does it? (2/n) / Gamma(n/2) = 1 / ((n/2) Gamma(n/2)) = 1 / Gamma(1 + n/2) so the formula for V(n) becomes V(n) = pi^(n/2) / Gamma(1 + n/2). Plugging in n = 0 gives V(0) = 1. --Dan _____________________________________________________________________ "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that certain je ne sais quoi." --Peter Schickele
