What's the biggest pop-up any of us has seen in a pop-up book? What are the mathematical or physical limitations on what a book can do when you turn a page?
I saw one that used a system of threads and eyes that acted as pulleys to extend a telescoping tower to three or four times the width or height of the book. If you're looking for a merely large pop-up book, there's this one: http://talesfromanopenbook.wordpress.com/2009/01/10/small-space-giant-pop-up... And here's a really interesting pop-up book engineering challenge: make one out of Legos! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYlA3NV0rFA -- Mike Stay - metaweta@gmail.com http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~mike http://reperiendi.wordpress.com
