... is korrekt. it mens "stare at the tv screen". in german you can leave the last "e" of the verb an dreplace it by an ´. normally you have to say " (ich) starre auf den fernsehschirm". problem is, that "starre" has two sillables and doen´t fit into the melody. so you leave throw the "e" away and say "starr´ auf den fernsehschirm". this is a well known practice of german poets and has a very long tradition. stay tuned NUC2001
