While now considered groundbreaking'/'innovative',etc.. in the past every new Kraftwerk releases has usually been greeted with lukewarm responses (especially in music press, but also fans).. this dates back 30 years. Now I don't think that there are no 'new' sounds or melodies, especially now in 2003, to create. What we have is a full range of sonic possibilities - ones available to alot of musicians. What then is left for musicians to do? I would suggest that part of the greatness of kraftwerk is the 'space' between the sounds / concepts / visuals - which creates an interaction between the listener and musicans.
