Luca, Thanks for the review! [...]
4) Until you've seen it, you can't believe how beautifully synchronized audio and video are. Actually, KW are playing a sort of "soundtrack" (sounds familiar?) to the videos. They're (especially Ralf) actually "playing" more than I expected - lots of twiddling with his knobs/sliders/keyboard. They were definitely enjoying themselves.
Agree 100% and how about the guy (what's his name?) to Ralf's left? He definitely grooved! For what I could tell he was in charge of the Earth shaking basses and punches. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the impression he gave me, specially when he bent his knees everytime he keyed an out of this world bass (i.e.: at Aerodynamik). His serious and rigid facial expression (judging by the pics I took that night) don't truly reflect how actively he participated. He was really engaged throughout the concert. Can anyone tell me his name, please??
6) They had no interaction with the audience, although I managed to see a hint of a smile on Ralf's face while he was singing "Minicalcolatore". Florian smiled only at the end of the concert, while giving his usual exaggerated bow. Ralf politely gave us a "Gute Nacht/Goodnight/Buona notte".
All we've got from him that Coachella night was a "Good night, Aufidersen" (sp?) One thing I noticed right before they left their workstations, during Music Non-Stop, was how disciplined and meticulous they were about gathering their belongings (cartridges, headphones, etc). I guess they don't want to leave that job up to nobody. Who can blame them?
A couple of not-so-positive notes: 1) The "dancing robots" interlude (I never liked it) now appears a tad boring. BTW one of the robots was not moving while the other ones need heavy strobo-lighting just to give some impression of movement. IMHO the only outdated and slightly boring part of the show. Althought the robots are part of KW heritage, they should in my opinion either drop them or replace them with something more effective.
I respectfully disagree. I loved the robots. Even today, when I listen to that song live, I get goosebumps. The crowd reaction is usually LOUD. Go figure, thousandths of people cheering at some lifeless pieces of machinery. Well, sort of lifeless... each of them had a pretty dark beard on their faces! Have you noticed that? (I send you pics if you want) Enrique

His name is Henning Schmitz. Yes, he mainly is - or seems to be - responsible for the bass, but he also plays the lead melody in The Model and in some of the other tunes.

They definitely need a shave :-)))
