Just thought Id mention this as this is one of my favourite bands other than Kraftwerk (there is a link just wait for it), from an Electropop band called Bis. They've just released a covers 12 inch of Factory Records classsics, you can get it from http://www.roughtrade.com/ or http://shop.thestableyard.net/display.asp?shop=optimo For a band that started out sounding like riot grrrl in the mid 90's they now sound more analog synth kraftwerk style now. Another band thats fantastic for there Synth Pop edge is 'Ladytron' who draw heavaly from Kraftwerks Man Machine Album ,as well as alot of the early 80's synth (Visage, Japan, Human league et al) pop bands from that period. It just shows that 80's Analog style is far from dead and its interesting to see other bands borrowing the sound of early Kraftwerk music and using it to there advantage & from that creating something new.... eer where was I, umm yeah hehe ^-^ Anyhow thats my plug done for the day, hehe. Anyhow laterz

Yeah, their version of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is brilliant. Didn't know they had done a whole EP of Factory covers though.

There seem to be a massive 80s electropop revival going at the moment, and a lot of the stuff coming out is quite good. Miss Kittin and The Hacker, Adult, Fischerspooner, Golden Boy, G.D. Luxxe, Mat 101, Perspects, the whole International Deejay Gigolos label etc etc. All well worth checking out if you like that kind of thing. Sorry if this is not strictly on the topic of Kraftwerk but it's at least somewhat related... Cheers, Erik
Is Tangerine Dream sleep-inducing electric music or what? Aren't they good friends with Florian and Ralf? amir http://www.slystone.com Erik Jälevik wrote:
