First, omegaChance was all, like:
I've been listening to the 1976 intro /.../, but it has to be = different=20 than the one they used after the release of "Die Mensch Maschine"...
The only 1976 recording I have, the Paris gig from the Machine bootleg, doesnt have the vocoded intro at all (I mean the "Meine damen und herren" one, that they used for ages), but starts at the Göethe poem intro to Kometenmelodie. Search the archive for info on the actual words, though, as I dont remember them. We had a discussion about these on the list. Thanx for making me play the Machine bootleg again though, I'd forgotten how wonderful it is!!! :D _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com

Yeah, thats the one Ive been listening to as well, its hard to hear off the computer, and it didnt sound like the regular one, but I just assumed it was the 'Meine damen und herren' one since Aktivitaet said they opened with that in one of their elusive 1976 shows. Thanks. Signed, omegaChance http://www.mp3.com/omegaChance
I have a concert from 10/10/76 and that has the 'normal' vocoded intro. Around 75/76 KW used the Göethe poem intro before their "Comet Symphony". I suspect that this is causing the confusion. Regards and.. Keep Werking John www.keepwerking.co.uk
And in the middle of frogs copulating and all, Oystein Moe vividly expressed:

To this I can only agree wholeheartedly! The "Somewhere in Europe" crap which was released recently is SO much worse! "Machine" is one of my fave bootlegs, and everybody should have it :) Cheers, Peo
