Fascinating. When I visited the site this morning (about 7 AM Central Daylight Time in the USA), Real Player would open up and, I assume, play the *entire* track. So I got to hear all of "Vitamin", "Elektro Kardiogramm" and "Tour de France" (track 12; TdF '83 remix). I visit just now, and now all I get is 30 second clips of each track. Can you say, "that sucks"? Good, I knew you could.... Oh well, at least I got to hear some of them.... Best, Len Cleavelin -- Are there new Latin words for things that the ancient Romans didn't have? Well, Radio Finland (or in Latin, Radiophonia Finnica Generalis) broadcasts Nuntii Latini ("Latin announcements") in Latin via short-wave radio and by the Tela Totius Terrae (World Wide Web). Exactly why they thought it was a good idea to broadcast the news in Latin is another story, probably having something to do with very long winters and a steady supply of Finlandia vodka. --SDSTAFF bibliophage [Straight Dope Science Advisory Board]
yeah I noticed that too, but on the cheery side, the BBC folks seem to have only changed the links on the page leaving the .rm files on the server. SOOO rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/music/gkraftwerk01.rm gives you prologue rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/music/gkraftwerk02.rm gives you etap1 etc. etc. Until I guess they notice that, but until then, enjoy. -martin At 01:47 PM 7/30/2003 -0500, Leonard R.
