double, triple and more messages
Dear gang, now that a new mailing list has been set up, more and more messages are cross-posted to two, three or even four lists. Do we really have to? As I presume, the majority of us is subscribed to more than one Kraftwerk list. So could we please reduce these cross-postings, before it's getting annoying. Thanx, Jan

While I don't like cross-posting in general, I see a point in cross- posting messages to the "Activerecord" and "Xmission" lists, as long as it isn't clear if the majority of subscribers accepts the Activerecord list as a solution for the obvious problems on the Xmission list (lack of administration etc.). So far, I think it isn't absolutely clear if there is a general consensus among Xmission subscribers to change over to Activerecord. Any opinions? Klaus Zaepke

Perhaps not directly addressing the issue, but my opinions are: - I don't mind joining or switching to a new list EXCEPT: - I won't join any Yahoo lists because of their ridiculous policies. - I most certainly won't join any list where Oh Jay has any say in how things are run! I am and always have been quite happy with the way the xmission list works, but I can understand some people being frustrated with the slow admin response time. If most xmission users elect to go elsewhere, I'll join them. I'll retain my membership on the xmission list too for as long as it lasts, in which case crossposting would be annoying for me. -- /* Soleil */

So I'll do the first step: I will stay at Xmission as long as it is necessary, but because of the problems some people seems to have with it, I will not make active use of it any longer. Further messages will go only to Activerecord. C U there! Jan -- feel free to visit http://reetze.sternklang.de
