There were people all over the Adams Morgan area in Washington DC wearing green and gold all Sunday, day and night, honking car horns. I missed Pele. The American networks didn't carry any of the celebrations and trophy ceremonies. I had to watch a Spanish cable station. amir ncentola wrote:

Kraftwerk battles Carlos Jobim.

I wore a Renaldo shirt at the last Cup, sitting in a Carribean restaurant. That was a fun day!!!! Drunk as a skunk. I can't believe it's been four years. On the other hand, this Sunday I may wake up at 6:30, D.C. time, overweight and wheezing like an old fart in my skid marked underwear to catch the tall Germans outlasting the creative Brazilians, 1-0. I can't wait to see Pele in the stands.
