I previously stated that I do not want to subscribe to numerous lists, that I believe one KW list should suffice. I don't have a problem with this list being unmoderated. I do however accept that it is a problem that new members can not be admited. If it is really the case that this problem cannot be resolved then maybe this list is not viable. Perhaps the problem was a result of a previous member, Oh Jay, starting flame wars with the stated intention to destroy this list. Perhaps he has now achieved that goal. It is very sad that the long running original KW list should cease to exist when there appears to be a growing interest in KW. Instead of all the original members being dispersed around a multitude of lists, or causing repitition by posting to them all (or in my case not even bothering to become a member of any new list) perhaps this list can be reborn. Instead of joining the young pretenders perhaps every member of this list could agree on what is good about it and what is wrong with it and launch a brand new list that would be the continuation of this one. This is not to say there is anything wrong with the newer lists (I wouldn't know) but since most people seem to want to have the original list but accept that it is no longer viable, then we should all agree on mass to change. If all members move to a brand new one then we keep the original kW list intact but with a new address. It is the members that make the list. We could claim to have the original KW list but it has changed address. Then invite the members of the other lists. ian t _________________________________________________________________ Find a cheaper internet access deal - choose one to suit you. http://www.msn.co.uk/internetaccess

I think several people have proposed that we migrate en masse to the new activerecords list. I think that's probably the best solution for now. What I've been objecting to is the way many people have equated the two ideas of moving to a new list and deactivating the old list. They're not the same thing and one doesn't imply the other. Perhaps one day this list will be revitalized, and by staying subscribed to it we'll know if that happens. -- /* Soleil */

Certainly a bit softer than I've been, but certainly better balanced :)
