Other point is: why are they playing with KW? Did R&F saw them playing with other bands, know them or were they working on Kling Klang before start to play?
Henning Schmitz has been with Kraftwerk more than 15 years. He is credited on the Electric Cafe album as an engineer. Fritz Hilpert has been there a similar amount of time, and he is credited on The Mix Album, and his robot is on the sleeve, of course. They received their "promotions" after Flur and Bartos left, and they are no less important than Flur and Bartos, in my view. They complete the line-up and play their role in the four-man band that is Kraftwerk Rob _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx

Don't you think the output speaks for itself? Autobahn to Electric Cafe with Wolfgang and Karl (or maybe he joined just after Autobahn) and Electric Cafe to... eeh, nothing really, with Henning and Fritz. Erik

i'm sorry to disagree here , erik , but it's CERTAINLY_NOT fritz or henning's "fault" that kw hasn't released more material since they've joined the band , as much as it also ISN'T karl or wolfgang or emil's merit that ralf & florian ( a.k.a. the nucleus ;-) have released so many groundbreakin' "stuff" in the years of their "partnership" !!! ;-) it ALL goes mainly back to "the nucleus" of ralf & florian ... & HOW ( or IF !!! ;-) they like to "werk" on certain things in the end !!! :-o that's "how it werks" ... after all !!! *G+* ;-) however ... greetinx , oh jay ;-) *~\^/~*

Sorry if I was unclear, but I didn't mean it was in any way their "fault" that Kraftwerk hasn't released any more material. I think the reason they're not releasing any material is that no-one can stay on the cutting edge forever, and R&F have realised that the music world has caught up with and overtaken them. Which is also obvious from Expo and the new songs they've been playing live. However, I can't think of any artist who actually stayed at that cutting edge for as long as Kraftwerk did. Erik
someone needs to tell R & F that it doesn't matter that they stay on some bloody freaking "cutting edge"............. some of us do like the music they make, regardless of it being cutting edge or whatever..... please............
