Organisation - Record prices (Roman von Contzen)
I have seen a copy last year in a records fair in Milan; it was sold by German people that asked me 1000DM (about 516 Euro). I think actually the prices at records fairs are often too high, because the exhibitors have to pay taxes for staying and there is enough speculation, although you can find some rare items at very low prices, simply because they don't know what are selling ! I can consider 200 Euro as an affordable price for Tone Float (I know that is not simple to be found at this conditions) Alex KRAFTWERK Light years ahead _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
i cant believe, that the prieces for original vinyls are so high. what is the reason for it? hardcore-collectors push them up to these limits... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alex Brega" <nicolabrega@hotmail.com> To: <kraftwerk@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, August 16, 2002 10:07 AM Subject: [Kraftwerk] Organisation - Record prices (Roman von Contzen)

Alex Brega wrote "although you can find some rare items at very low prices, simply because they don't know what are selling !" There was a great example of this just recently on ebay.. That German Red Vinyl Man Machine went for just 20 Euros... take a look at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=898558358 and weep! arthur brehm wrote "i cant believe, that the prieces for original vinyls are so high. what is the reason for it? hardcore-collectors push them up to these limits..." You seem to have answered your own question ;o) but that is just part of the answer is it not... if a number of people want the same thing the price will rise... that goes for every thing not just vinyl. But yes... there are people out there that will pay very silly money for the things that they want. I just hope they realise that there are far more important things in life too....
