Hi all, I usually only post to the list when I have something to say, which is every other year or so. This time I think I can add something vaguely relevant. Der Automat:

In other words, just as semi-boring as the first edition. I wonder what Hutter has to say? Or better yet a CD release of new material.
AFAIR Ralf talked about this book in any interview, doesn't he?
Haven't read that, but when I interviewed Karl in July 2000 (at the Arvika festival) I asked him what he thought about the book. The relevant paragraph, right after Karl says he didn't like it much: "I think it's too personal. We are good friends and we talk to each other, and as he sent me the manuscripts I told him not to publish it or just make it more abstract. It's much too personal for my kind of like. But for him it's a kind of therapy, and it's his personal point of view. If I would write a book it would be totally different. So it's just one point of view, and I think his point of view is too romantic and too full of feelings. He seems to be very hurt. But I usually don't talk about other people's work. I'm not a critic, I think everybody should read it himself or herself and judge later." If you want to I can post the whole interview as printed in Prospective 2/2000; I think that issue of the magazine is sold out anyway. And after that, I'll probably go back to lurking until 2005 or so.
