Jan,

Thanks for getting some humor back into this topic.

Um, I wasn't the only woman who answered in the affirmative about being a female Kraftwerk fan.   For all the folks who are scratching their heads wondering where the female Kraftwerk fans are, guess what?  We're here, or on other Kraftwerk lists.  If you are wondering why other gals haven't discovered them yet, why not make a female friend a Kraftwerk cd, maybe you'll be surprised.  Was it Amir on here who made his female co-workers the Kraftwerk cdrs, and they really enjoy listening to them?

Maybe more women would like them if given the opportunity to hear them.  Kraftwerk have wonderful lyrics and sublime melodies. I don't know about you folks, but where I live, Kraftwerk aren't exactly all over the radio.  So unless you've been a die-hard fan for a while, how are they supposed to attract new listeners be they male or female?

pat

ps.  This might come as a shock ;-) but has anyone else here noticed, be they male or female, some folks aren't into music??!!  Doesn't matter who it is, it's just not somethign they are interested in.

If there is one sociological topic which is highly en vogue at the moment,
it's "gender studies". But when I read seminar papers or articles on this
topic, my main impression is: HOORAY, the late seventies are back again!
