Any chance you could break that 300M .mpg file into smaller chunks for those of us without large hard disks to peruse either as a download from The Group or possibly 'Streaming'? I'm sure, even though, many of us on the list don't speak the language, we'd still like to view it - then maybe one of us who _does_ speak the language could post their translation as best as they can... ...just a thought/request...
I could do that, or convert it to divx, which gives a smaller file size but isn't as portable. I don't have anywhere to host it either way though.
I'm serving a DivX5 encoded version now (178 MB), http://amiga.medicinareberget.studenthem.gu.se:8080/kraftwerk/ I also translated what was said in Swedish and German to English, so you'll find some subtitle files in various formats in the same directory. They're "human readable" too, if you don't have a player that can use subtitle files. If any of you have a somewhat more generally compatible DivX4 file (unfortunately I couldn't get my "old" encoders to work), please consider uploading it to ftp://amiga.medicinareberget.studenthem.gu.se:10000/uploads/ I won't serve split files as well since I'm afraid I'm running short on diskspace (this is my personal computer) and I still want to serve the full files to minimise hassle for everybody else. If you need split files that's easier solved on the client side, I believe some download managers, wget and similar utilities allows you to specify byte ranges to get. Try telneting to port 10000 and send HTTP commands directly if you're a total nerd... ;) -- E m a n u e l M a i r ________________________________________ e@mair.com mair@medstud.gu.se Procul, o procul este, profani! http://medstud.gu.se/~mair * t e a m A M I G A * .-. .- -.. .. --- -....- .- -.- - .. ...- .. - .-.- - ...-.-
