Simple Minds had a CD-single out 2-3 yrs ago, which also was "black".

AFX (aka Aphex Twin) has a new EP pressed on a black CD. I think the
metal layer underneath the plastic is coated somehow. Remember the gold
audiophile CDs? Peace.
