My intention wasn't to offend you ;) I rather enjoy learning such small details personally I don't care for the use of the term "krautrock" The information I post is compiled data from different sources some are more reliable than others, in this case the source IS reliable if something I post is not from reliable source or if I am unsure where the information came from I always let others know. I'll cross reference the information you provided.

I know this album is 11 years old, the mix (even though it's worthy part of the kw discography) is nothing more than a collection of old songs from kw's catalogue that were simply update to the current dance trends of when that project took place -- this is NOT the cutting-age material that can be found on their originals. btw I don't care for the yodeling on the "newer" autobahn and why did they leave off the name checks iggy pop & david bowie on tee? as pointed out by omegachance. Once again it seems like their trying to erase their past, (too many examples to mention here) replacing heads on albums, leaving off names on re-releases etc.

Sennheiser, Vocoders, Kraftwerk, and Privileges

Greetings Everyone... I am an electronic musician and I am deeply influenced by Kraftwerk. I am most infatuated by their use of vocoders. Apparently, they used the Sennheiser- Does anyone know in detail the story about why and how they came into adopting this specific one? It seems that this particular unit was rather expensive at the time- how did kraftwerk manage to obtain all of their equipments? Were their parents rich? [w]

Krautrock was term that was coined by an english music editor to describe the music coming out of germany during the early 70's -- the same way the term electronica came into use, coined by an american to categorize the many different styles of electronic music I preferrer to refer to the actual style when discussing the type of music i'm writing about. I think Organisation is fantastic the music I believe is called experimental prog-rock what makes this recording unique (for kraftwerk) is its free form improvisation and very strong late 60's influences, It has a lot of unusual instruments I would like learn more about.

Maybe because that particular song flirts a lot with one of the main reasons why a few critics don't like KW in the first place. That is: sounds a lot like Chinese water torture. I don't particularly dislike the song, but I prefer to listen to the second half of it. Computer Love, Numbers and It's More Fun to Compute are, by far, my personal favorites from CW. The Mix's version (although very good) is indeed inferior to it's respective original -- I much preferrer the original version, and can't understand how any fan of KW's newer material could dislike that song, particularly since it is a key song from their catalogue.
